Embarking on a new chapter with the bespoke and intimate NOMAD CIRCLE art fair, our next destination is the decommissioned Terminal 1, Zayed International Airport — a landmark of regional modernism designed in the late 1970s by Paul Andreu, the celebrated architect of Paris’ Charles de Gaulle. Closed to the public for years, the terminal will be reimagined by NOMAD in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. This edition arrives at a pivotal cultural moment, enriching the UAE’s dynamic arts landscape and resonating with the architectural and artistic spirit of Saadiyat Island, home to one of the world’s most ambitious museum clusters.
At NOMAD – Abu Dhabi, our new exhibition, The Future of the Past, unites artists whose practices explore material, movement, and form across generations. French makers Erwan Boulloud, Bertrand Créac’h, Pierre Salagnac, and François Colo embody a dialogue between technical mastery and poetic expression, while modern icons Gio Ponti and Maurizio Tempestini evoke the timeless elegance of twentieth-century design. Together, their works bridge heritage and experimentation, revealing how craftsmanship endures as both memory and invention.
At the intersection of art and design, GMP champions artistic freedom as a catalyst for cultural dialogue and reflection. Its curatorial vision embraces experimentation and risk, unbound by generation or genre, while cultivating enduring relationships with artists and collectors. Rooted in craftsmanship and innovation, the gallery’s direction values the challenge of convention and the pursuit of excellence.
Through exhibitions at its London space and leading international fairs, it supports artists with clarity, coherence, and long-term commitment, advancing a vision where tradition and innovation continually inform one another.
