Surfaced Cabinet Moss

The clad cabinet combines different material characteristics. Seventy-two enamelled ceramic tiles shape the front surface of the cabinet, fusing into an organic relief that looks like a living structure embedded. Each tile has its own unique imprint and comes out of a different mold, creating a variety in shape and depth like a rhythm of fossils. The walnut foot is constructed from small vertical strokes that follow the natural lines of the wood. The polarity between the lines of the wood and the curves of the ceramic provide a graphic sense to the piece.
