Maurizio Tempestini
Maurizio Tempestini (1908–1960) was an Italian architect and designer known for his elegant and modern approach to furniture and lighting design. Active mainly between the 1930s and 1950s, he created works that combined refined craftsmanship with functional modernism. Tempestini collaborated with renowned Italian manufacturers such as Salvatori, Vittorio Bonacina, and especially Salvadori for Lloyd Manufacturing Company in the United States, where he designed outdoor furniture that became iconic examples of mid-century modern style. His designs, often characterized by clean lines, organic forms, and a timeless sense of balance, reflected the optimism and sophistication of postwar design. Though less widely known than some of his contemporaries, Tempestini’s work remains highly valued by collectors and design enthusiasts for its graceful modern aesthetic.
