Pierre Salagnac

Pierre Salagnac is a master bronzesmith, sculptor, and designer. As a graduate of the famous Ecole Boulle in Paris, he was able to learn in-depth the three specific skills that make up the age-old craft of working bronze into beautiful artifacts: mounting, turning, and chiseling. After twenty years spent directing the finest French bronze workshops, Pierre Salagnac is now thriving within his own studio and is, at last, devoting himself to his art as a craftsman-sculptor making metal bloom into life. His perfect mastery of the bronze techniques allows him to set the material free and express the form it contains. He reveals the organic curves of nature in the metal block with great talent. Pierre Salagnac has made a name for himself in the world of interior design thanks to the bronze bonsai trees that he has “planted” all over the world. His Elan tables too are another iconic example of his work inspired by nature and lightness and had been recently acquired by the Mobilier National as part of the Elysée collection.
